Join us this October, as acclaimed author Gary M. Best gives a free illustrated talk on Britain’s role in the African slave trade, with particular reference to the part played by the Bristol merchants, the sufferings inflicted on the enslaved, and the impact on racial prejudice. The talk will also briefly look at the issue of modern-day slavery.
