APCM 2026: THUS FAR THE LORD HAS HELPED US

The APCM might seem like church bureaucracy, but take another look. This is an Ebenezer on a sacred road: a moment to pause and say, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

The APCM isn’t just an administrative requirement; it’s a moment to give thanks for God’s faithfulness, to discern the call of the Spirit, and to step together into the responsibilities and possibilities that will shape our shared life and witness. It is one of the few times in the year when we pause together and take stock; remembering where we’ve seen life, growth, and grace, and naming honestly the challenges we’ve faced. It’s a chance to notice what God might be doing among us, not just as individuals, but as a whole community. And an opportunity to make decisions, appoint people, and name the priorities that will lead us forward.

Attending is a powerful way of saying: this is our church, and I’m part of its life and its future.

In the run up to the APCM we have published an annual review, to help us look back at all the goings on of 2025.

In addition you can find the Report and Accounts that we have submitted to the charity commission below.

Below are the remainder of the documents needed for our meeting. Please do take a look ahead of time, and we will look forward to reflecting on them on the 10th.

IN THE RUN UP TO THE MEETING…

Join the Electoral Roll
The APCM is open to those on our church electoral roll. If you are aged 16 or over and have been part of St Luke’s for six months or more, you are warmly invited to join. As well as helping us keep track of our evolving church community, joining the electoral roll is an opportunity to make a powerful statement of belonging.

PCC Elections
The APCM is also when we elect our church trustees- members of the PCC- as well as representatives to Deanery Synod. If you have a sense that you’d like to contribute to the governance and discernment of St Luke’s, we would genuinely love to hear from you. Please do get in touch for a conversation.

Questions and Any Other Business
There will be an opportunity at the meeting to ask questions and raise other items of business. To help us steward our time well, we’d be grateful if you could submit any questions or items in advance where possible.
