PRAY WITH ST LUKE’S

One of the simplest and most powerful things we can do as a church family is pray for one another.

When someone in our community is facing illness, uncertainty, grief, or any kind of need, we seek to come alongside them in prayer. It’s one of the ways we show that no one has to face hard things alone, and that we trust God to meet us in the middle of our ordinary, fragile, human lives.

We’d love you to take part, either by joining us in praying for others or by letting us know how we can pray for you.

Join the Praying Community

On Sundays. During our Sunday morning gathered prayer time, you may see the names of people who have asked for prayer on the screen. This simple list is an invitation for us all to quietly hold one another before God.

By weekly email. Each week, we send a prayer email to those who want to pray in more depth for others in the church. It includes a little more detail (shared with permission), along with updates and thanksgivings, so we can journey with one another in prayer.

You can sign up below to receive this email and be part of this praying community.

Let us pray for you

If you’d value the church praying for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch. You don’t need special words, and nothing is too small.

When you send a request, you guide what is shared, where, and for how long. We are grateful for the trust people place in us, and mindful of how vulnerable it can be to ask for prayer at all. We seek to handle that trust with tenderness, and hope that our shared life in prayer is a space that feels supportive, safe, respectful, and life-giving.

Our prayer requests are looked after by a member of our community, Tim Harris. To send a request, you can:

  • Fill out the simple form below

  • Or speak to Tim or our vicar, Matt, on a Sunday
