Life Lessons ~ Gary Best

I’ve learned that making a living is not the same as making a life. I’ve learned that I don’t have to have all the answers to take the next step. I’ve learned that progress comes from doing what I can, not worrying about what I can’t. I’ve learned that every day is a chance to begin again. I’ve learned that small actions often lead to extraordinary results. I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one. I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled tree lights at Christmas. I’ve learned that kindness is never wasted. I’ve learned that gratitude changes the way I see life. I’ve learned that some prayers are answered by changed circumstances and some by a changed heart. I’ve learned that joy is found more in giving than receiving. I’ve learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you, but, if you focus on helping others and doing the best you can, happiness will find you. I’ve learned that God is at work even when I can’t see it.

What have you learned?
