St Luke's awarded Bronze Eco Church award

St Luke’s has been awarded the Bronze Eco Church award (below). This is the first stage of the programme - we will now be working towards Silver, and ultimately Gold.

Eco Church is a framework to help us to think through different aspects of creation care and sustainability. It is built on the foundation of God’s love for all of His creation – of which we are a part. Eco Church provides a free online survey and supporting resources, which are designed to equip churches to express care for God’s world in:

  • worship and teaching

  • looking after their buildings and land

  • engaging with the local community and in global campaigns

  • the personal lifestyles of the church congregation
